I am a post graduate counselor intern who is working toward obtaining LPC status.  I  received my undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in 2002 and went on to earn my Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  It was in college that God instilled within me a passion for counseling. He has continually intensified my love for people and my desire to help them where they hurt the most. Since I began my journey as a counselor, I have been able to help individuals, couples and families move closer to the healthier lives that they desire.  The opportunities I’ve had as a counselor have allowed me to work with clients of various backgrounds, ethnicities, and denominations. My desire is for clients to begin healing and find reconciliation in all areas of their life.

I provide therapy for issues related to:

  • Anger
  • Abuse (emotional, physical, sexual)
  • Adolescence
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Family Systems
  • Grief and Loss
  • Marital and Premarital Issues
  • Military (Trauma Recovery, Re-assimilation into civilian life difficulties, family of military)
  • Spiritual needs
  • Trauma Recovery

About Me

My whole life is a testimony of God's faithfullness and unfailing love. Christ saved me at a very young age and has walked with me or carried me ever since. I strive to love others unconditionally because I am loved unconditionally by God. Ultimately, I want to represent my Lord faithfully and exemplify a Christian attitude and mindset to those that I counsel. Everyone deserves to know of the hope God provides.

God has blessed me with an amazing family. I am blessed to be married to a beautiful, gifted woman of God. We met while studying counseling together at seminary and while I don't tend to rush into anything, I fell in love instantly. January 14, 2009, God blessed us with an amazing daughter and I am expecting a son in April. I am looking forward to watching them grow up and being their dad. I can't imagine anything better.
